Fortnite has taken a break from the standard seasons and chapters and given players a completely different setup: Fortnite OG. After years of yearning for the return of Athena Island, the first Battle Royale island, Epic Games has finally given the community what they asked for in a compact, one-month event.


The Battle Pass is quite different this time around compared to what players are used to. In light of these changes, some fans started wondering if they would be able to benefit from the Fortnite Crew subscription service to acquire it for free. Is the OG Pass A Fortnite Crew Benefit?


Many players purchase the Fortnite Crew subscription when a season ends so that they can get a refund of the Battle Pass and get the next one for free. However, players started to wonder if they would be able to take advantage of this perk when they noticed that Epic Games wrote "the Battle Pass will return next season" on the official Battle Pass webpage on November 3.


Fortnite OG has been classed as a "time-traveling turbo season", as it will only last about a month. Epic Games had to make some significant changes to the standard Battle Pass so that gamers could complete it and earn all of its rewards thrice as fast as they normally would. Despite these changes, players will be happy to know that the OG Pass will be free for Fortnite Crew members.


How the OG Pass Works?


The OG Pass is a fast-paced version of the usual Fortnite Battle Pass. Standard Fortnite seasons tend to last nearly three months and Fortnite OG will only last a month. So, even though it works similarly to the regular Battle Pass, it has half the rewards, and that includes the number of V-Bucks gamers can get from it.


While the Battle Pass has 100 rewards that gamers can acquire by getting their Fortnite account to level 100, the OG Pass only has 50 rewards. So, gamers have one month to try to earn 50 account levels.


Typically, gamers would spend 950 V-Bucks on the Battle Pass but earn 1,500 V-Bucks if they completed it. Unfortunately, even though the OG Pass costs 950 V-Bucks, they'll only be able to earn 1,000 V-Bucks if they reach the end of the pass.


The OG Pass will be available until December 2, 2023, at 10 PM ET.


How to Get the Fortnite OG Pass for Free


To get the Fortnite OG Pass for free, you need to be a Fortnite Crew subscriber. If you are not a subscriber, you can sign up for a free trial. Once you have signed up for a free trial, you will be able to claim the OG Pass for free.


To claim the OG Pass, go to the Fortnite Crew page and click on the "Claim Your Rewards" button. You will then be able to select the OG Pass from the list of rewards. Once you have claimed the OG Pass, it will be added to your account and you will be able to start earning rewards.


Keep in mind that your Fortnite Crew subscription will automatically renew after the free trial is over. If you do not want to renew your subscription, you need to cancel it before the free trial ends.
